Frances Durkin is a historian and award-winning children’s author from South Yorkshire who now lives and works in Buckinghamshire. She is the author and co-creator of The Histronauts book series. An Egyptian Adventure won a North Somerset Teachers' Book Award in 2019, and Frances runs accompanying workshops for schools, bookshops and heritage organisations. She has a PhD in Medieval History at the University of Birmingham and is passionate about sharing her love of history with a wide audience.
